Republic of Angola and the Republic of India was Established
Bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Angola and the Republic of India was established at the level of the Permanent Mission in New York on 2 June 1979.
Signing of the General Agreement
while cooperation relations began on 4 October 1986, with the signing of the General Agreement for Economic, Technical, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation in Luanda, during the visit of India’s former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi.
Cooperative Relations Between the Two Countries
In 1987, the former President of the Republic of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos, visited India, considered the highest point in the cooperative relations between the two countries. Since then there have been exchanges of visits between the two countries.
