CII Annual Meeting 2024 – Gujarat

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is a non-governmental trade association and advocacy group, founded in 1895. CII engages business leaders, politicians, academics, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industrial agendas. It is a member-based organization.

At its annual meeting CII Gujarat 2024, entitled ‘Gujarat: Accelerating Growth Beyond Borders’, on the first day of the event, a special session on ‘Opportunities in Africa’ was given to all the African diplomatic missions present in India, with the main objective of serving as a tool for Africa’s growth and the role of the India-Africa partnership in integrating regional and global value circuits, presenting opportunities in all sectors of partnerships between India and Africa.

Dr Clemente Camenha, Angola’s Ambassador to India, once again fulfilled the mission conferred on him by the President of the Republic to represent the Republic of Angola in this part of India, at the aforementioned event, performing one of the structuring pillars of this mission’s diplomacy in India, which is business diplomacy, with the aim of attracting investors, companies and entrepreneurs.

In his speech, His Excellency explained to the audience the objectives and benefits of investing and doing business in Angola, showed them Angola’s great interest in continuing to collaborate with the Indian business community, and also the Angolan embassy’s concerns about the slowness observed on the part of the competent Indian bodies in relation to the request made to them for the organization of the Angola-India Business Summit (Ango-India Business Summit 2024), above all encouraging them to embrace the opportunities that Angola offers them in various sectors of activity, considering Angola to be a land of business opportunities.The massive response from the public was seen immediately after Dr Clemente Camenha’s speech.
