Angola is leading the Standing Committee of Ambassadors of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) in India

The images illustrate the handing over of the rotating presidency of the Standing Committee of Ambassadors of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), as part of the organization’s 43rd Summit of Heads of State and Government.


Her Excellency Mossi Nyamale Rosette, Ambassador of the DRC to India, passed the baton to His Excellency Clemente Camenha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to the Republic of India, in the presence of the Indian authorities and the diplomatic corps accredited to that Asian country.

With this symbolic act, which took place on the afternoon of Friday 15 September in New Delhi, His Excellency Ambassador Clemente Camenha took over the presidency of the Standing Committee of SADC Ambassadors in India.

Angola is a founding member of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and shares with other states a series of common objectives and strategies to improve the living conditions of the populations of all member states. SADC is an inter-governmental organisation created in 1992 and dedicated to socio-economic cooperation and integration and cooperation in political and security matters.
